Cat in a closet
We like being in small and enclosed spaces. We like having our own little private territories. It also gives us a sense of security. My advice to humans: don't panic if you can't find your dear cat or catpanion at home right away.
When we're not in the open, check the cabinets, drawers, boxes, baskets, and paper bags (even plastic bags) around. You might find your cat under the bed covers, behind curtains, or among the laundry too.
Take note that sometimes, it's harder to spot a cat because his/her fur color blends with the things around him/her, such as the textile or furniture he/she squeezed or crawled into. I know this because at times, my humans don't see me even if I'm right there chillin' on the bed or the sofa.
